Facilities within the Property

Even though the completely furnished and equipped apartments make the feeling "home away from home" absolutely possible, at Ancora Park there are all sorts of services to enjoy. This 3-star accommodation only 1 kilometre from Lagos has its own Olympic swimming pool (being the only one in the whole province of Algarve) so that you take fantastic dives. However, there are also smaller pools for children, where they will surely meet new friends.

The big property includes several gardens placed around the apartments, therefore there is a lot of space to be outdoors and sunbathe. The common areas are all together in a central building where you may rest at the tv lounge, ask for reservations for tours at the reception desk or have your meals. Parking spaces are available in front of each apartment and there is an internet point where, for an extra cost, you can check the web.

Half board pensions can be arranged, as well as full ones in case you do not feel like cooking during your holidays: for breakfast a continental buffet is displayed including yoghurt, fruit juices, breads, coffee, ham, cheese and butter. And there is also a snack bar at the swimming pool area, so that you do not need to move much from your deck chair for a sandwich at midday.

If you take Estrada de Porto de Mos, the street where the hotel is located, you will eventually come to the seashore: along these 800 metres distant from the beach, there are plenty of restaurants and other hotels, as Porto de Mos is one of the most popular summer destinies in the southern coast of Portugal. The centre of Lagos is also worth visiting, mainly due to its rich history: originally called "Lacobriga", this city was founded by the Celts, then conquered by the Proenicians and Romans, and finally fell under Arab domination. It was the Moors who built the town`s ramparts to prevent invasions, but Lagos was regained for the Spanish royalty in 1249 and would later be a prosperous port during the Discoveries years.
