Profile |
It was Austrian architect Johann Nalbach who designed this exclusive lodging near the Reichstag building and the Brandenburg gate, placed 20 minutes by car from Tegel Airport. Built in 1998, it goes through constant renovations and the fact that the works of art are in permanent exhibition makes it change now and then. |
Bright colours alternate at the common rooms and guestrooms, where you may find armchairs in yellow contrasting with carpets in red and walls in immaculate white. The art suites that the hotel presents among its rooms are the utmost of trendy atmosphere, with a kitchen area and a balcony to extend comfort. |
The Art`otel Berlin Mitte also boasts two conference rooms and five banqueting ones, and the delightful Ermelerhaus, a building decorated in rococo style that dates as far back as the 16th century: this relevant place for the Eastern government is found inside the hotel, and now houses its five banqueting rooms. |
All in all, the inn is dedicated to the German painter Georg Baselitz and combines the latest comforts with an excellent location and the importance of past in the neighbourhood that used to be East Berlinīs western frontier. |
