By Plane You can reach Faro International airport from Lisbon is only 45 minutes, but this terminal also welcomes flights from many cities in Europe and has a regular connection by shuttle bus with the central transport station in downtown Faro. The terminal is 75 kilometres far from the property.
By Car As you leave the terminal in Faro, drive towards Portimão along motorway A22, known as "Via do Infante". Around 70 kilometres later, get off at the exit "Lagoa" and go in the direction "Estombar and Ferragudo" till you come to a crossroad: veer right and you will find Boca do Rio Resort 300 metres ahead, on your right hand side. (More or less it will take you 50 minutes to reach the hotel).
If you are coming from Lisbon (which is around 280 kilometres from Portimão), take route A2 to reach the southern province of Algarve. Follow the signs indicating "Albufeira/ Portimão" and 30 kilometres later get off at the exit "Lagoa". From this moment, drive towards "Estombar and Ferragudo" up to road EN 125. Go along this track and abandon it before the bridge signalled as "Estombar and Ferragudo"; continue till the next crossroad and then do as already described for those coming from Faro airport. (3 hours drive)
By Train At the airport in Faro you can take buses reaching Faro`s central bus terminal in only 25 minutes; once in the city you can catch a Regional train to Portimão -there are several services per day and they take 1 hour 20 minutes to reach their destiny-. Then, Boca do Rio Resort has private catamarans that pick up the guests at Portimão and leave them in the property in 20 minutes. If you arrive in Lisbon, from any of the stations -Entrecampos, Oriente or Santa Apolonia- you will find services reaching Portimão in 3 hours and half to 4 hours 20 minutes trips (these trains belong to the Alfa Pendular and Intercidades networks). |
