The house, built originally towards the end of the 19th century, was tempting enough to convince a couple that used to spend their holidays there: Robin and Geraldine, both English, stayed at Casa Vale del Rei for six years before deciding to buy it and provide the same thoughtful, considerate service they had enjoyed themselves. |
This is how they became the owners of the property and did some renovations: they installed air conditioning, wood-burning stoves, mosquito nets and old windows shaped like clover leaves. Geraldine was pretty involved in the decoration of the rooms of the property: they all share a Portuguese flair, with strips of Portuguese blue or yellow setting a cheerful mood on the white-washed walls.
Casa Vale del Rei is placed on top of a hill, surrounded by orange groves and with views of the sea: only 5 minutes away by car, you will come to Cabana`s beaches, while a 20 minutes stroll will lead you to downtown Tavira. |
