By Plane
Faro airport welcomes international flights from Lisbon (a 45 minutes trip) along with other cities in Europe, Frankfurt, Madrid and London, among others. It is located around 90 kilometres away from the inn, and is fluently connected to the city of Lagos on public transport.
By Car
From the airport in Faro, go straight along road EN 125 in the direction Portimão/Lagos. After approximately 5 kms, take highway A22 or "Via do Infante", following the signs that indicate Lisboa/ Portimão/ Albufeira. Get off at the exit "Lagos Oeste/ Vila do Obispo" and go up to the second roundabout, where you must veer left towards Lagos. You will come to a streetlight with a black ball in the middle: turn right here, go along Avenida dos Comunidades Portuguesas and at the following roundabout, take Rua Torraltinha. Afterwards, turn left in Rua Gago Coutinho and right into Estrada da Ponta da Piedade. Keep on straight for 150 metres till Rua Costa d`Oiro appears on your right hand side: veer right into it and you will see the inn at the end of the street (This journey will take you around 1 hour).
By Train
If you reach the airport in Faro and decide not to rent a car, get on the buses that go to Faro`s bus terminal (25 minutes) and then take a train or a bus to Lagos (2 hours for both). At the station in Lagos, get on a taxi or a bus and within 5 to 10 minutes you will arrive in Costa d`Oiro. It is important to know from Lisbon you can take the daily buses (7 hours) and trains (5 hours with a stop in Tunes) that reach Lagos. In addition to this, you may hire the pick up service offered by the hotel (for an additional cost). |
