 The hotel is just a few steps away from the Bolhão metro station, 5 minutes walking from the S. Bento railway station and about 15 km from the Francisco Sá Carneiro airport. Charming and evocative of a long-gone way of life, this is a carefully renovated relic of a hotel that is set on an all-pedestrian street with the densest collection of shops in central Porto - Santa Catarina Street. The hotel was originally built in 1880 in a five-store "Grand Hotel" format that is still visible in its late Victorian facade and exterior details. |
 The last 2002 renovation was done with the care of maintaining the original character and the hotel is now a cosy 3 star hotel with an appealing combination of the 1950s with Belle Époque accessories. The hotel has standard rooms and suites equipped with satellite TV, minibar, individual air conditioned units, direct dial telephone, broadband Internet access, safe deposit box, hairdryer and private bathroom. Non smoking and specially adapted rooms for handicapped persons are also available. |
