Garni Hotel Jadran can be found in Cesta Svobode 12, near Lake Bled which houses a island with chapel, it is located next to its sister hotel of Grand Hotel Toplice. It can be found in the north west of Slovenia near many of the great skiing resorts in the Slovenian side of the Alps. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery including the lake, park and the snow capped Alps. It is around 50km from the capital Ljubljana and some 35km from its international airport. |
By Plane:
The international airport Ljubljana-Brnik is approximate 40 km away from the hotel and many low cost airlines fly into it. You can reach the hotel by taking a taxi or by hiring a car and following the directions below in the driving instructions; it will take around 30 minutes to drive to the hotel. You can also take a taxi to the main central station in Ljubljana and follow the instructions below or take an hourly bus service to the central station (LJUBLJANA AVTOBUSNA POSTAJA), using ALPETOUR or JP Ljubljanski potniški promet services, then catch a train and follow as below.
By Train:
To arrive by train make your way to railway station Lesce-Bled, this is approximately 5 km away from the hotel. The main central station in Ljubljana connects via LP trains to Lesce-Bled; they run throughout the day and take around two hours. Guests can take a taxi from outside station and be at the hotel in around 10 minutes. You can also take a bus to the bus station in Bled, direction BLED or BOHINJ, from there the hotel is a five minute walk and there are no buses so you have to walk or take a taxi. From the station you can just follow the sign posts to the hotel, leave the station and simply walk down Cesta Svobode (just off the station) to the hotel for about 0.6km, the station is at number 4 and the hotel number 12 Cesta Svobode.
By Car:
From the Ljubljana-Brnik airport Departure for Ljubljana-Brnik, centre. Continue straight on for 3.5km and pass by Voglje. Turn right onto the 104 and pass by Sencur after 1.8km. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and continue along the E61 / A2 for 16km. Take E61 / H1then take E61 / 8 for 6.5km and turn left onto 209 passing close to Lesce after around 2.0km and then continue along Ljubljanska Cesta for 0.8km. Arrive in Bled after 1.2km and continue along the Ljubljanska Cesta for around 1.5km, the lake will be on your right and the hotel is just on the left side at Cesta Svobode 12 before the Grand Hotel Toplice. |
