By Plane
There are three airports placed close to Kranjska Gora, and they are no more than 90 minutes away by car. Brnik airport in Ljubljana welcomes flights from London, Frankfurt and Vienna on a regular basis, among other cities (62 km from Kranjska Gora); Klagenfurt in Austria has services coming from Berlin, Dusseldorf and Hannover (55 km); and Ronchi airport in Trieste, Italy, welcomes connections from London, Milan and Munich, among others (136 km).
By Car
From the airport in Ljubljana, you must drive straight, pass a town called Voglje and turn right in road 104. Afterwards, at a roundabout, go along the third exit into E61/A2; after around 16 kilometres, get on E61/ H1, E61/8 and E61/A2. You must get off at the exit for road 201 and drive along this track for other 17 kilometres. You will pass the town of Belca before reaching Kranjska Gora, where you must take your left into road 206 and your right into Borovška cesta, which is a really important artery in this destiny. Continue along it till number 93 and you will see Grand Hotel Prisank on your left hand side (1 hour).
If you are driving from Italy, take highway A23 towards Udine-Tarvisio and get off at the exit for Tarvisio: you will enter Slovenia through the international border crossing called "Ratece"; meanwhile, if your plane lands in Austria, you can come to Slovenia through the crossing "Korensko Sedlo" from Klagenfurt airport, or through Karavanke tunnel for those coming from Villach.
By Train
The railway station placed closer to the property is the one at Jesenice, placed 20 kilometres far from Kranjska Gora. There are many daily services departing from Ljubljana that take between an hour and one hour 15 minutes to reach Jesenice. Once there, get on the buses to Kranjska Gora (30 minutes trip). |
