Set in an area traditionally famous for its thermal springs, the Grande Hotel da Curia is surrounded by lush greenery characteristic of the region. By Plane:
The nearest airport is Oporto it is an international airport and lies some 90 km away from the hotel. From the airport you can take the violeta line to the city centre which takes 30 minutes. From there you can connect with Campanha station and from here you can take a train to Coimbra station. It takes around an hour and trains leave hourly with services being run by AP and IC trains.
By Train:
The nearest station is Coimbra station; it can be reached from the capital of Lisbon in a little under two hours for the quickest journey up to over three hours depending on the route taken and various companies run trains to the station. From the station guests can arrange pick up by the hotel which is free of charge to guests.
By Car:
From the national road A1 which comes from Porto or Lisbon take exit 14 and continue along the N234 and then the IC2/N1, follow and then join the EM619-1 and pass Tamengos and take the EM611 and follow that into the centre of Curia. You will come to a large roundabout, the Parque Das Termas will be on your left, turn right and follow till the first left which you take and the hotel will be just up on the left a few hundred metres down the road. |
