Facilities within the Property

As a five-star hotel, the Algarve Casino offers a vide variety of services to its guests, starting with a swimming pool with salt water and heated (except the children pool that is not heated) and two parking lots, one of them has to be paid and the other is free. Variety is also the clue as far as gastronomy is concerned: at the Hotel Algarve Casino you will find three restaurants and two bars.

The restaurant called "Almendoeiras" has a splendid view over the beach, and it is here where breakfast is served in the mornings: enjoy a buffet made up of warm and cold dishes, including bacon and eggs; meanwhile, for dinner you may try the typical Algarve cuisine here. At the casino there is another restaurant where shows are organised: the "Aladino" serves national and international recipes.

Last but not least, the Zodiac bar is the most informal among the restaurants: as it is placed in the pool area, it is usually the favourite at lunch time. The casino is, however, the jewel of this property.Try your luck at the black jack, the American roulette, the slot machines, or the Portuguese dice. Finally, the hotel also features nine meeting rooms, equipped for the organization of business and social gatherings.

Nearby Facilities

The moment you unpack at the Algarve Casino, take a stroll along Praia da Rocha, in order to discover why it is considered the most popular summer resort in Portimão. There are other beaches close by that you could visit too, such as Alvor, Vau and João de Arens. At Alvor you may also have a look at historical monuments: the Marabout chapels of São João and São Pedro are really worth visiting. Vilamoura is another destiny to include in your agenda, only 52 kms away. And at Portimão there are also a number of golf courses surrounding the beaches. Penina was the first to be established in the province of Algarve, but you may also try the Palmares and the Morgado do Reguengo.
