By plane: Faro International airport _serving the province of Algarve- is located 75 kilometres from the property: planes reach it from Lisbon in only 45 minutes, though this terminal also welcomes flights from several cities in Europe.
By car: When you leave the terminal in Faro, go towards Portimão along motorway A22, known as "Via do Infante". Around 60 kilometres ahead, descend at exit 5 "N194/ Portimão/ Monchique" and continue along road A22 Accessos. You will reach a roundabout where you must take the second exit, N124, and then keep on driving along En 124. You will soon come to Portimão, where you must take Avenida Paul Harris and Avenida V6 before veering right in Avenida Tomás Cabreira. Stay on this road parallel to the beach until you pass Avenida Francisco Bivar. You have to pay attention to the hotels on your right hand, placed on the beach, and before the intersection with Avenida de Portimão, you will see the Algarve Casino. (More or less it will take you 55 minutes to reach the hotel).
By train: From the terminal in Faro there are buses to the central bus terminal in the city of Faro (a 25 minutes trip); afterwards, you can take a Regional train to Portimão _there are several daily services, taking around 1 hour 20 minutes). Otherwise, if your flight goes up to Lisbon, you may travel by train from the stations of Entrecampos, Oriente or Santa Apolonia: these services reach Portimão in 3 hours and a half to 4 hours 20 minutes (check the Alfa Pendular and Intercidades networks). Once in the station in Portimão, take any of the buses going to the beach, and within 3 to 4 minutes you will come to the property. |
