| | | The Hotel Cult was born in 2005 on the remains of an old lodging that was originally built in 1981 but was closed for twenty years. The accommodations were completely renovated, the rooms expanded and an absolutely new allure installed along its corridors, common areas and specific details. From the outside, it might seem like a traditional German inn, with white walls and dozens of little windows brimmed in black: however, the typography of the hotel´s sign already shows you what the interior breathes in: contemporary airs. |
Comics decorating the hallways, special illumination features and the breakfast room comprising simple, minimalist furnishing are just some of the examples of a style that is present from the reception area to the toilets in your private rooms. Along 3 floors, the Hotel Cult has 80 rooms with all the necessary devices for comfort and a good rest, as the purpose of the owners is make the guests feel at home, however far they may be from their own beds. |
The inn is placed between the two areas that make up the Sachsenhausen district, Sachsenhausen Sud and Sachsenhausen Nord, with two metro stations at not more than three blocks´ distance. This neighborhood in Frankfurt was originally established as the city´s bridgehead in the 12th century, and used by Charlemagne to house the Saxon slaves: this is where the name is born, as "Sachsenhausen" derives from "Saxon Housing". The area surrounding the Hotel Cult is known both for its nightlife, present a bit farther to the north at the Alt Sachsenhausen, and its residential section, with charming 19th century houses and plenty of greenery. |
Once you have visited the two towers that have become landmarks of the district, the Henninger Turm and the Goetheturm, the Old Town in Frankfurt is really close to the front door of the Hotel Cult: a 5 minutes trip by bus or tram will leave you at the shopping area; and a ten minutes one will lead you to the fairground. As regards Frankfurt International Airport, a direct connection through the underground enables the guest to reach the inn in no more than 20 minutes. The hotel is also prepared for those guests on business trips, as it provides connection to the internet free of charge and has two conference rooms, with different capacities and the devices needed for formal presentations. |
