By Plane
In the outskirts of Berlin there are 3 airports where you may land: Tegel and Tempelhof are the closest to the property (the first placed 11 kms away, and the second, 8,5 kms). It is really easy to come to Hotel Palace Berlin either by taxi, car or public transport.
By Car
If your plane lands in Tegel airport, it will take you around 20 minutes to reach the property by car. Get on highway A111/E26 and drive towards "Dresden/Mapdeburg/ Leipzig/ Zentrum" before driving along A111 in the direction "Exit 13". Get off at exit 8 "Kaiserdamm Sud" and you will arrive in Berlin. At a road junction, turn right into B2/B5/Kaiserdamm and continue along Bismarckstraβe. You will reach a roundabout, Ernst-Reuter-Platz, where you have to take the first exit and drive on to Hardenbergstraβe. Already with the Tiergarten on your left hand side, the road changes its name to Budapester Straβe, and Hotel Palace Berlin comes into view on number 45.
From Tempelhof, the journey is a bit shorter (15 minutes). Take highway A100 and go along exit 17 "Innsbrucker Platz". Turn right at Innsbrucker Platz and continue in the direction "Tiergarten". By now, you will already be in Berlin: go along Hauptstraβe, keep on straight along Potsdamer Straβe and take your left at Kurfurstenstraβe. Turn left again in Budapester Straβe, and you will see Hotel Palace Berlin on number 45.
By Train
Berlin`s main railway station is only 3 stops away from Zoologisher Garten: this station is the closest to the property. In order to reach it just walk 500 metres along Budapester Straβe and Hardenbergstraβe. From the airports, these are the advised itineraries: at Tegel, get on the buses leaving every 10 minutes, and around 22 minutes later, you will get off at the Zoo; meanwhile, from Tempelhof you must take the underground at "Platz der Luftbrücke" - within the terminal- (line U6, direction Alt Tegel) up to Hallesches Tor. Here, change to line U1 (direction Krumme Lanke) and descend at Wittenbergplatz. From there you just have to take a short walk along Tauentzienstraβe street and cross Breitscheidplatz square to Budapester Straβe. |
