 Gozd Martuljek is a small village only 4 km from Kranjska Gora, the main town in the Zgornjesavska valley: this place became famous among lovers of winter sports, and nowadays it gathers experts as well as families when the snow conquers the picture, turning the Julian Alps into beautiful snow-peaked heights. As a matter of fact, this three-star hotel is named after one of the summits in the area, mountain Spik, which is 2.472 metres high and was actually named after its sharp pointed shape. |
Hotel Spik can be found around 80 kilometres from Ljubljana, the capital city of Slvoenia, and is easily accessible thanks to the three airports that serve the region, belonging to 3 different countries (Slovenia, Italy and Austria, as the crossing borders for the last two are really close). |
 At Hotel Spik there are new guestrooms, and you should book them in advance as the inn is not open all year (the dates depend on the booking, in fact).
