By Plane Gozd Martuljek is accessible from three airports serving the area, placed at a relatively short distance, no more than 90 minutes away by car. Brnik airport in Ljubljana (62 km from Gozd Martuljek) welcomes services flying from London, Frankfurt and Vienna regularly; Klagenfurt in Austria (around 55 km) has connections coming from Berlin, Dusseldorf and Hannover; meanwhile, Ronchi airport in Trieste, Italy (135 km, appox.), welcomes planes from London, Milan and Munich.
By Car If your plane lands in Ljubljana airport, drive straight, pass the town Voglje and take your right into road 104. You will come to a roundabout where you must drive along the third exit into E61/A2; around 16 kilometres after this, go along roads E61/ H1, E61/8 and E61/A2. Next, abandon this track at the exit for road 201 and continue along it for another 17 kilometres. After a town named Belca, you will arrive in Gozd Martuljek. The hotel is placed 100 metres from the main road, around 4 kilometres before reaching Kranjska Gora (This journey will take you around 1 hour).
However, there are various origins for your trip, as Gozd Martuljek is located close to the border crossings leading to Italy and Austria. If you come from Italy -Trieste is 170 km away-, take highway A23 and drive towards Udine-Tarvisio; get off the track at the exit indicating "Tarvisio" and enter Slovenia through the international crossing called "Ratece"; those guests travelling from Austria -Salzburg is 280 kms far, Villach is 20 kms- should enter Slovenia through Karavanke tunnel or the crossing "Korensko Sedlo".
By Train You may also travel by train to reach the property. The railway station placed closer is Jesenice, placed around 20 kilometres from Gozd Martuljek. There are various services a day that depart from Ljubljana and within an hour or one hour 15 minutes, they reach the station in Jesenice. Afterwards, get on the buses travelling to Kranjska Gora (a 30 minutes trip), and then take the free shuttle service provided by Hotel Spik to the inn. |
