Facilities within the Property

Amigo now offers stylish interiors, comfortable accommodation, fine cuisine, attention to detail and the highest levels of friendly service. Conveniently located in the heart of Brussels next to the Grand Place, the hotel is a stylish venue for your meeting or conference and an excellent base for those who wish to explore the surrounding cobbled streets and hidden charms of Europe's capital.
At Rocco Forte Hotels,
we have invested a great deal of time in identifying 1500 key points of service delivery, which we believe will make us the best. We have devoted significant effort to implementing these via training programmes and in monitoring our performance with independent assessors who specialise in luxury hotels. This philosophy is applied throughout the hotel. We have also invested a great deal in expanding and equipping our conference facilities within each of the hotels and have incorporated additional meeting facilities and a Business Centre within the refurbishment of the Amigo. Similarly, the bedrooms are now equipped with the latest technology and facilities for both business and leisure guests alike.

We now have six fully equipped meeting rooms and a ballroom, which can be divided into two rooms and will accommodate up to 160 people theatre style. All are air-conditioned, spacious and equipped with the latest audio-visual technology to cater for your event. We can set up the rooms whichever way suits you best. Some have windows, which have retained the characteristics of the jail that previously occupied the site on which the hotel now stands. For more informal private parties, you may like to use our Blaton Suite, which spans 180 square metres and has an extensive roof terrace, separate dining room and kitchen in addition to a comfortable lounge.
We can arrange for you to be met at the airport or station, if required, and
our team will work closely with you to plan your event, be it a private dinner party, banquet or conference. Messages will be delivered to you promptly and our new Business Centre is at your disposal. In addition, our Concierge is on hand to help with any advice and bookings for attractions within the city. The standard of facilities and service you experience during your visit can make all the difference to your event. Our aim is to ensure that all of your needs are met from the moment you make your reservation until you depart at the end of your visit.

Hotel Amigo provides a stylish venue to celebrate your marriage, where unsurpassed service and attention to detail are our specialities. We will make your special day as perfect and relaxing as possible so that you are free to enjoy each other and your guests.

The Ambassador Room
With its wonderful tapestry of Aubusson and its impressive glosses with squares of porcelain, this elegant Dining Room will inevitably leave your guests with unforgettable memories. The Room can offer easily adjustable lighting and is a perfect venue to meet your most distinctive needs in a prestigious and convivial atmosphere.

Blaton Suite
One of the most elegant suites in Europe providing the highest level of comfort in the heart of Brussels, the Royal Suite is named the Armand Blaton Suite in memory of the founder of the Hotel Amigo. The Blaton suite (180 m²) is situated on the top floor of the hotel with its own terrace, a large sitting room with open fire, and dining room has a magic view of historic Brussels Town Hall.

Junior Suites, Classic Suites, Deluxe Suites
The new design of the Junior, Classic and Deluxe Suites is quite traditional with some modern touches and a Flemish feel. Surrealist prints by Marcel Broodthaers and René Magritte are in all the suites. Good sized bathrooms contain mosaic details in red or green to match their marble vanity tops, and figures of Herge's characters Tintin, Snowy the dog and Captain Haddock enliven the walls with a touch of humour.

Health & Fitness
It is important to have the option of keeping fit when you are away from home, especially if you are tied up in business meetings all day. We have therefore created a new Fitness Centre equipped with the latest machines to give you the opportunity to work out and unwind.

Concierge
A warm welcome to the Hotel Amigo in the heart of Brussels from me, Riccardo Fusari, Head Concierge at the hotel, and my team. I am sure that my team and I will be able to assist you should you have any free time during your stay in Brussels. We are proud of the capital of Europe, and here at the Hotel Amigo we relish any opportunity to help our visitors get to know and appreciate the beauty and splendour of Brussels. Whatever your tastes or preferences in music, art, architecture and food, the Concierge team will find something in Brussels that will leave you with a memorable experience, which will only strengthen your desire to return for more. The Hotel Amigo is located in the very heart of Brussels, in the shadow of the magnificent Market Square, which is protected by the world patrimony of UNESCO. The City Hall tower is a distinguishable landmark for those driving to Brussels. For visitors arriving by air, there is one airport, Brussels National Airport. If you are not being met at the airport, I would recommend that you reserve the hotel's limousine for your transfer. All we require are the flight details and arrival time and our driver will meet you in the arrivals area. Travelling time to the Hotel Amigo from Brussels Airport is approximately 20 minutes, depending on the traffic. You will be aware that the weather during winter is not too cold and is not too hot during the summer. We recommend that you bring an umbrella due to the frequent rainfall in Brussels. To enter the country, you only need your identity card if you are a citizen of the European Community. Passports are needed for visitors from outside the EC. I have listed some dining and entertainment recommendations for you during your stay at Hotel Amigo. As you would expect, we can arrange tickets and supply information on everything.

The Hotel Amigo is located in the city centre closed to all the places to visit in Brussel:

Atomium
Since its creation in 1958, the Atomium has become a symbol of the 20th century, the century during which the atom was fully mastered and became widely used by man, profoundly affecting the development of our society.

Museum of Costume and Lace
Brussels' Museum of Costume and Lace has been installed since 1977 in the neighbourhood of the Grand Place, in two bourgeois houses built at the beginning of the 18th century and converted to suit this purpose. It contains rich and interesting textile collections. Precious lace made with bobbins or needles in the provinces of Belgium, France and Italy as far back as the 17th century are exhibited next to civilian costumes, mainly women's clothes, and many fashion accessories, the essential complements to elegance, such as lingerie, hats, umbrellas, fans, shoes, purses, etc...

Royal Museum of Beaux-Arts
Stripped of his fanciful art nouveau swirls and reduced to clean art deco lines, Horta made his swansong a spacious, functional municipal building that gracefully combines its separate elements. In 1996, the entire hall was finally renovated. Eleven interlinked, hexagonal and circular rooms ensure that there is space for even the largest sculptures - you can get lost wandering round a show. The museum also hosts the regular Europalia festival, which focuses on a different theme each year and serves as an information point for other exhibitions in the city.

Victor Horta Museum
The son of a shoemaker, Victor Horta (1861-1947) was born in Ghent, where he failed in his first career, being unceremoniously expelled from the city's music conservatory for indiscipline. He promptly moved to Paris to study architecture, returning to Belgium in 1880 to complete his internship in Brussels with Alphonse Balat, the architect to King Léopold II.

Museum of Cacao and Chocolate
A visit to the museum will include a demonstration by a master chocolatier (almost everyday) and the chance to sample various chocolate delights. A small shop will be open for true chocolate lovers. Olfactory and gustatory delights are on the programme.

The Archaeological Remains of the Palace of Charles V
A fascinating tour underneath the Place Royale will allow you to discover the remains of this illustrious palace, unjustly forgotten by history.

Dynasty Museum
1830 - the Monnaie Theatre shook to the sound of the Revolution, announcing the birth of a new country... Go back through the halls of time to encounter this fabulous story that led Belgium to its international destiny.

Bellevue Hotel Museum
The Bellevue Hotel was constructed in Louis XVI style by Barnabé Guimard, the architect of the Place Royale. The hotel was remodelled several times, particularly in 1908 and 1926, when it was used as a princely residence. Major restoration work was undertaken in 1997. The current layout enhances the refined setting of this historical monument and offers visitors an exceptional view of the Royal Palace and its gardens.
