Restaurant
At the hotel we have a very nice purely Italian restaurant. As the hotel is owened by an Italian chain we are provided with the very best and fresh products directly from Italy. The restaurant "Il Cortile" overlooks a lovely hidden gem: the Place St Jacques, a small medieval square that remained intact and is now the address for the most famous African Antique shops.

Bar
In the lobby bar you can have a true espresso or ristretto after a long day at work or an expensive afternoon shopping.

Place du Grand Sablon and Marolles
Dominating the view over the Place du Grand Sablon you will discover the Church of Notre Dame du Sablon, one of the most beautiful examples of flamboyant Flemish Gothic Style. The Church is being renovated and is almost sparkling white again in all its splendor. The Royal Museum of Fine Arts is adjacent the square and offers you the best of Belgian Art: Flemish Primitives such as Van Eyck, Rubens, Van Dyck, Memling and Dirk Bouts. But also Magritte, Delvaux and Ensor. Other main monuments in this area are the Palais de Justice, one of the biggest and most impressive buildings in Belgium with its remarkable golden dome, the Brussels Synagoge and the Royal Academy of Music.

Royal Palace and Park
The Royal Palace, built onto the remains of the Palace of the Coudenberg is a magnificent building that is still used by the Royal Family for official state dinners and receptions. It is open to the public from end of July until September and you can amaze yourself in the Trone Hall into the forest of Christal Chandeliers or admire the ceiling covered by "scarabees" by the famous Belgian artist Fabre. Across the park you will discover the Houses of Parliament. This whole is lined up with houses dating back to the Austrian occupation and could make you believe that you are in Vienna. Further down you can also discover the Cathedral of St Michael and St Gudule. Since longtime the décor for Royal weddings and ceremonies.

Grand Place Area
This is the century old very centre of the city and also the most touristic area. No one can remain untouched by the splendor of the Town Hall with its beautiful Gothic Clock Tower and when the sun shines on the gold decorated facades of the Grand Place, you will lose all sense of time but not of space. In the same area you can also find the Galleries St Hubert, Europe's most ancient covered galleries, the typical Rue des Bouchers for the seafood lovers and not to forget, the little brave boy: Manneken Pis.

Avenue Louise
The Avenue Louise and surroundings are the most prestigious area for the fashionable shopping. From Chanel to Gucci, you will find them all right here. At the end of the Avenue Louise you will find some nice Art Nouveau houses and one of them, The Horta House, where the famous Belgian architect lived and worked, is open to the public and transformed into a museum. The Bois de la Cambre, which used to be the hunting grounds of the noble before is now open to all public and is a real relief during hot summer days.

Atomium and Royal Palace of Laken
The Atomium, the main attraction at the 1958 World Exhibition is now entirely renovated and sparking again. Forget any other landmark building you have seen before and just amaze yourself in the silver shining spheres. A short walk though the park will lead you to the Royal Palace of Laken, the residence of the Royals and also the Royal Greenhouses. They are open to the public in April and surprise any visitor by its dimensions and green splendor. From here you can also see the Japanese Tower and Chinese Pavillion, recently opened as museum of the Far East.
