Pousada Santa Clara offers guests a continental breakfast buffet every morning that can be taken in the dining room. There is an excellent restaurant that uses the local products to serve many great tasting local dishes such as spicy sausages, regional meats and special desserts. Some of the menu includes specials like Dogfish with muscles and spicy sausage, Lamb chops with fried potato and veg or a honey pudding on the dessert side.
 
The dining room is a very unique rose coloured room with large pillars painted in the same rose colour with dining tables accompanied by wicker chairs with large bay window allow for a view and plenty of natural light. There is a very modern bar area that is decorated in beige and has soft comfortable sofa and chairs in matching colours to the décor which is ideal for kicking back in.
 
Outside there is the two swimming pools, one for adults and the other for kids, they have sun beds and sun shades around the pool with view of the reservoir and there is also a children's play area. The reception has a 24 hour front desk and can offer a fax service, laundry service, room service and other services on request by guests can be arranged. The multilingual staff are happy too help in any way possible and can offer advice on tourist information and travel arrangements.

Nearby the hotel there are many activities to partake in by the reservoir which are supervised and they include various water sports, fishing, hunting, horse riding, walking trails, mountain biking, canoeing and motor boat cruises. In the local town there is the local church with its painted tiles that is worth checking out and also overlooking the town is the ruins of Nossa Senhora do Desterro, a 17th Century Franciscan monastery. To the south there is a small spa town called Caldas de Monchique which is in the woods with its history dating back to the Romans. To the west are the many long sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean with there accompanying trade mark cooling winds.
