 Hotel Pousada Santa Clara A Velha takes its name from its location and it is situated between two distinct regions of Portugal, the Algarve and Alentejo and is near the beaches and coast of S. By Plane
The International Airport of Faro is connected with some European cities directly or connected via Lisbon airport which is a little under an hour away. There is a regular shuttle bus service to and from the airport taking you to the Faro central station where you can find buses and trains, so to reach the hotel take a shuttle bus to the central station and then follow instructions as below or rent a car and follow as below. The hotel is around 120 km away from the hotel.
By Train
From the Faro station that can be reached by bus from the airport take a train to Santa Clara-Saboia station using the regional train, the journey time is around 1h15mins and from there take a taxi to the Pousada which is around a ten minute journey away. There are only two services a day, one in the early morning and the other mid afternoon.
By Car
From Faro airport use the N120-10 and take the IC4 to Lisboa after around 9km. This becomes the E01/IP1 after about 12km; continue along following Loulé-centro and take exit 14 N124, continue straight on at Alcantarilha. Follow the IC1 and continue onto the N266 and follow the sign post to Santa Clara a Velha, the place is off on the right from the N266 after the bridge take the first right turn, follow the road till the end and turn right back towards the river and the house can be found along that road a few hundred metres away. It is also sign posted so follow them up to the hotel.
From the north use the E01 or the IC1 and follow until the N263 where you follow in the direction of Odernira up to the N123 which is just north of Santa Clara A Velha. From there follow in the town and then follow the sign posts for the hotel. From the east the IP8 joins the E01 or the IC1 and then follow instructions as before. |
