The Pousada de Tavira - Convento da Graça is on Rua D. Paio Peres Correia in the Algarve area of Portugal, at east of the international airport of Faro. It is situated in the riverside town of Tavira which is famous for its 18th and 19th century architecture and offers some long sandy beaches and outstanding local seafood restaurants. There are many beautiful views around the area to be enjoyed as well as some of Portugal's finest golf courses. It offers a quiet and relaxed side to the Algarve which is in stark contrast to other places in the area. |

By Plane:
The International Faro Airport is very well connected with the others national airports and on daily basis it welcomes flights from every part of the Europe. There are regular buses that take passengers into the city centre where the main station is found and from there you can catch trains and buses to many regions in the area. The Pousadal is about 30 km away and can be reached by train following the instructions below or by renting a car.
By Train:
From the airport take one of the many buses that go to main railway station, this takes around half an hour. From there catch a Regional train to Tavira and this takes about 40 minutes, there is one train an hour starting from 7.30am up to 11.30pm leaving from Faro. The Pousada is then just a few minutes away by taxi from the station. If you prefer to walk it turn left from the station and walk up to R. dos Machados and turn left, follow that road until Rua D. Paio Peres Correia on the left, then its a few minutes walk and on the right hand side.
By Car:
- From Faro airport: take the N2 from the N125-10, from there turn right on the E1/A22/IP1 towards Olhao and take exit 16 towards Tavira. Then at the roundabout take the 4th exit towards Santa Margarida and continue on the EN270 and arrive in Tavira, take the 3rd exit to Rua do Alto do Cano on the roundabout then follow that road and take the next left after R. dos Machados into the road where the hotel is Rua D. Paio Peres Correia, a few metres on the right.
- From the north: use the A2/E01 all the way down till it joins the A22/E01 then head east. From there follow till the N270 and follow the above directions. |
