By plane:
There is an airport shuttle to Areeiro and after that take the metro green line on the Areeiro station direction Cais do Sodre and get off at Baixo-Chiado station, then take the blue line direction Pontinha and step off at Avenida stop. We are situated 500 m from the exit of the underground.
The Carris AeroBus number 91 departs the airport every 20 minutes for the city center and the Cais do Sodré railway station. Tickets can be purchased on board. From Cais do Sodre see below.
By train:
From the Railway station Oriente take the metro line red direction Alameda and get off at Alameda station, then take the green line direction Cais do Sodre and get off at Baixo-Chiado station, then take the blue line direction Pontinha and step off at Avenida stop. We are situated 500 m from the exit of the underground.
From the railway station Cais do Sodre take the metro line green and get off at Baixa Chiodo, then take the blue line at step off at Avenida stop. We are situated 500 m from the exit of the underground.
By car:
From Portela airport follow the plats to the city centre. On the roundabout with a shell gas station on the left hand side take the Av. Almirante Gago Coutinho (3rd exit). Then in Praça Francisco Sa Carneiro turn right in Avenida Joao XXI, then turn left at Avenida de la Republica, after that take Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo and Avenida da Liberdade, follow the signs for the Botanical Garden, we are situated in front of it. |
