By plane:
The nearest airport is Faro, located at about 80 km. From the airport you could take a bus to the bus station in Faro and then one to Lagos, or the bus to the train station and from there a train to Lagos.
By car:
This is the best way to reach our property. While leaving Faro airport take the motorway IP 22 and follow the directions to Vilamoura/Portimão. Stay on the motorway and exit at junction 3 to Odiaxere and Mexilhoiera. On the first roundabout go straight over and continue until you reach the second roundabout. Take the first turn on your right to Odiaxere. Drive approximately 2 km and you will arrive to Odiaxere. You will see a set of traffic lights. Turn right and follow the road through the town where you will pass a windmill on your right. The road here goes straight or curves round to the left, there is a sign marked Barragem follow the road to the left. 1.3km down this road there is an old ruin on the left hand side of the road with no roof, and a bus stop and our sign on the right. Take this road through the riverbed and right to the top where we have a covered car park to the right and you will arrive to Quinta das Achadas.
By bus - train: Eva and Rede express connect Lagos with other cities of Portugal. You could take a bus from Faro bus station to Lagos and then a taxi to the Farmhouse or a local bus to Odiaxere. The Transrapido bus will last about 2 hours.
From Faro airport: you could take a train to Lagos train station. From the train station you could take the local bus to Odiaxere. When you arrive at Odiaxere stop, the only way to reach us is to take a taxi, because our property is on the countryside. |
