 Albufeira is one of the most visited summer destinies among Portuguese and foreigners seeking beautiful beaches and an intense nightlife. Residencial Vila Recife was built in 1987 and was totally renovated this year, offering breakfast and air-conditioned guestrooms. From the top floors of this five-storey building, you may even admire the panorama of the sea, as the beach is only 100 metres away. |
 However, Albufeira has many different beaches to enjoy, from Praia de S. Rafael in the east to Praia da Falésia in the west: among them, try not to miss Praia de Belharucas, opposite the Pine Cliffs, and Praia de Manuel Lourenço, placed in a small bay. As much as the idea of sunbathing may tempt you, you should also know that Albufeira has a number of cultural sights worth visiting, such as the Castle and the Church: they were both affected by the earthquake that shook the area in 1755, but there are still some original features standing. |
