Schloss Leopoldskron is located in the southern park of the city of Salzburg and is just a few minutes from the old historical town, west of the river. It is only some 5 km from the city airport, around 10 minutes by taxi. The main central station is also only around 10 minutes ride away making it easily accessible to get to and to visit other parts of the city. In the area there are plenty of local amenities such as cafes, restaurants and shops to enjoy. |
By Plane:
Salzburg's main Airport is situated only 5km away so guests can take a taxi from there and be at Schloss Leopoldskron in about 10 to 12 minutes only. The airport accepts international and local flights.
By Train:
The main central railway station is around 15 minutes away from the palace so from there guests can take a taxi from outside stands and arrive at Schloss Leopoldskron quickly. The main central station is accessible from many different parts of the country.
By Car:
Coming from the highway A1 take the exit at the airport, following Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse towards the centre. After a few traffic lights you will reach a junction where you have to turn right onto the Maxglaner Hauptstrasse. After passing the restaurant Riedenburg, turn right onto the Moosstraße and at the second traffic light turn left onto Nussdorferstrasse. Proceed straight ahead, following the Leopoldskronstrasse, until reaching the castle on the right hand side. |
