Tides Grill Tides Grill, The St David's Hotel & Spa premium restaurant is situated on the ground floor, adjacent to Tides Bar. Tides Grill boasts the best location overlooking Cardiff Bay and offers Al fresco dining on the terrace during the warmer months. Executive Chef, Georg Fuchs, creates tempting and delicious dishes using on the finest, seasonal produce sourced from local Welsh suppliers. His menu offers also offers a comprehensive selection of dishes with meats and fish from the grill. Nicolo Melloni, Tides Bar and Grill Manager, and his team are on hand to ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your evening, looking after your every need.
Tides Bar Relax throughout the day in the sophisticated atmosphere of Tides Bar. Enjoy morning coffee, a light lunch, traditional afternoon tea. Go into the evening with an exciting cocktail list created by our Head Barman, to complement an extensive selection of Champagnes, wines, spirits and beers. Sharing platters are also available throughout the evening. Tides Bar is licensed until 2am for non-residents, enabling our guests to enjoy a relaxed nightcap after dinner in Tides Grill. Our association with Krug enables us to sell Grande Cuvée by the glass and the opportunity to offer the complete Krug range to our guests - a unique feature in Wales. We have also recently launched our DJ programme, offering entertainment in Tides Bar each Friday and Saturday evening from 10.30pm to 1.30am. Tides Terrace During the warmer months, why not dine 'al fresco' at the best outside location in Cardiff Bay. Tides Grill's à la carte and table d'hôte menu is available for lunch and dinner, with Tides Bar menu available throughout the day if you wish to enjoy a lighter bite. What better to enjoy our traditional Afternoon Tea than in the sunshine - along with a glass of Champagne or a Pimm's. Waves - the perfect solution A dedicated spa restaurant "Waves" has been introduced in order to compliment the unique Spa experience and achieve outstanding results. Executive Chef Georg Fuchs has created a delicious, healthy Spa menu, which includes notes from a nutritionist outlining the benefits of each dish. Situated on the first floor, Waves enjoys stunning waterfront views and a terrace for al fresco dining. The menu is available daily and throughout the evening to ensure that customers can escape urban pressures and achieve outstanding results under one roof.
Residents Lounge This light, relaxing area on the first floor of The St David's Hotel & Spa is set aside for our residential guests to take in the tranquillity of Cardiff Bay whilst enjoying morning coffee, afternoon tea, an aperitif before dinner or a nightcap before making their way to bed. Our room service menu is available throughout the day in the Resident's Lounge for our guests that do not want to dine in their room, nor want to go to Tides Bar.

Overview At Rocco Forte Hotels we have invested a great deal of time in identifying 1500 key points of service delivery which we believe will make us the best. We have devoted significant effort to implementing these via training programmes and in monitoring our performance with independent assessors who specialise in luxury hotels. This philosophy is applied throughout the hotel. We have also invested a great deal in expanding and equipping our conference facilities within each of the hotels. At The St David's Hotel & Spa we recently extended our existing facilities in response to an increased demand within the market and added the Roald Dahl Suite, incorporating a new pre-function area with a separate entrance to the hotel. We have four meeting rooms, which can accommodate private dinner parties for up to 40 people or meetings for up to 45 people theatre style. In addition we have two conference suites: the Dylan Thomas on the ground floor, which can accommodate up to 270 theatre style, and the more recently completed Roald Dahl on the first floor, which can accommodate 200 theatre-style. Both have their own dedicated pre-function areas and can be divided into two suites, if required. Access can be gained via a separate entrance at the front of the hotel, which allows your guests quick and easy access to your events. All of our conference suites benefit from natural daylight and unique waterfront views over Cardiff Bay. Our residents' lounge is located on the first floor of the hotel, adjacent to the meeting rooms. The room is flooded with natural light and offers restful views over the bay; the outside deck provides a pleasant alternative for relaxing during the warmer weather. For small groups, you may prefer dining in our award-winning Tides Restaurant where we offer a wide range of delicious Welsh cuisine using fresh local produce. During the warmer months, dining can take place outside on the deck, where you can enjoy the stunning views over Cardiff Bay. Our 24-hour Business Centre on the ground floor is available for your use, and our team is on hand to ensure rapid message delivery. Spa Rocco Forte's five-star St David's Hotel has launched a new marine spa concept unique to the UK. At the centre of the new concept is Thalgo, who have created a range of treatments based on the best marine thalassotherapy cures whilst E'SPA will continue to offer its successful range of upmarket products and treatments and will also be joined by Chantecaille, who will offer luxury skincare. In the water treatment rooms you can book an exhilarating jet blitz water massage or a hydrotherapy bath with underwater massage.

The new Welsh Parliament and the Welsh National Opera are also in Mermaid Quay. The National Museum & Gallery, located in the centre of Cardiff, has the largest collection of Impressionist paintings outside Paris; Cardiff's Millennium Stadium has established itself as a popular venue for major sports events and concerts and is only five minutes from St David's Hotel & Spa by car; and the quaint shopping arcades provide a glimpse of Cardiff-past and complement the city's modern shopping facilities.
