The Tryp Porto Expo Hotel is ideally located at only 5 km from the airport and at 8 km from the city center. By plane: International, regional and domestic flights arrive daily to Porto's airport (called Francisco Sá Carneiro), from cities as London, Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels. Domestic flights are run by Portugália and Tap airlines mainly and have multiple flights to Lisbon every day. The Hotel is at 5 km from the airport. To arrive to the Hotel from the airport you could take a taxi. To arrive to the Hotel by bus, you could take bus number 56. Cars could be rented at the airport. To arrive to the Hotel by car, take the N107 to the South and then turn to your left in Crep, taking IC24 to the right. Continue straight and at the first belt, take the IC1 to the left. Go straight and exit in Rua de Veloso Salgado to the right. Go straight until the first belt, where you will see the Hotel.
By car: From South direction via A1 Freeway, enter Porto crossing either Arrábida or Freixo bridges. From the freeway, follow the signals indicating Valença, Viana and Porto de Leixões (Harbor). Continue ahead on the IC1/A28 freeway in a northerly direction for approximately 4,5 km, after which the harbor is visible on the left-hand side. Take the Exponor exit, and once past Exponor, the hotel is situated straight ahead past a traffic circle. From North direction via A3 Freeway, take the IC24 exit just past the tollgate following the Maia/Airport signs. Continue straight ahead in a westerly direction following the Matosinhos signs until finding the IC1/A28 freeway. Enter IC1/A28, continuing in a southerly direction for more a less 3 kms. Take the Leça da Palmeira off-ramp and the hotel will be visible on the right-hand side.
By bus: Buses services run to and from many cities all over Europe. There are at least five key point where you could take a long distance bus to another city or arrive to Porto, and all are centrally located, and at only some kilometers from the Tryp Porto Hotel.
By train: Porto is the main rail hub for northern Portugal, and long distance services depart from Campanha station, at 2 km from the city center. The majority of the regional and interregional trains depart from Sao Bento Station, and these lines also pass through Campanha. From Porto to the cities of Viana do Castelo or Coimbra, you have a train journey of one hour and a half. From Porto to Lisbon, you have three hours. |
