By Plane
The airport that welcomes international flights closest to the property is Faro, placed around 90 kilometres away. Connections from Lisbon (a 45 minutes trip) land here, along with other cities in Europe -Frankfurt, Madrid and London, for example-. It is easy to reach Lagos on public transport, once you reach the train station in Faro through the shuttle bus that connects to the airport.
By Car
If your flight ends at the airport in Faro, drive straight along road EN 125 towards Portimão/Lagos. After around 5 kms, get on highway A22 or "Via do Infante", following the signs to Lisboa/ Portimão/ Albufeira. Abandon it at the exit "Lagos Oeste/ Vila do Obispo" and continue up to the second roundabout, where you must turn left in the direction Lagos. At the next streetlight with a black ball in the middle, veer right, going along Avenida dos Comunidades Portuguesas. You will reach a roundabout, and here you have to take Rua Torraltinha, turn right at Rua Santa Casa da Misericordia and keep on straight till the end of the road. You will see Villa Mar Azul on your right hand side (This journey will take you around 1 hour).
By Train
At the airport in Faro you can get on the buses reaching Faro`s bus terminal (25 minutes journey); afterwards, take a train or a bus to Lagos (2 hours for both) and at the station, get on a taxi or a bus and within 5 to 10 minutes you will be at Villa Mar Azul. Bear in mind that at Lisbon there are daily buses (7 hours) and trains (5 hours with a stop in Tunes) departing to Lagos. Finally, take into account that Villa Mar Azul can arrange a pick up service for you at the airport (for an additional charge). |
