Accommodations

 The York House Hotel has 32 guestrooms located along two floors, with a particular decoration for each and an access through stairs. The views are different but altogether beautiful, either if you choose the river Tagus, the Lisbon`s rooftops or the hotel`s courtyard as your picture for the window.
The choice is actually complicated, for modern style and details from the 17th century are both available at the 24 standard and the 8 deluxe rooms, in both cases complimented with the devices every guest needs for the stay. Non-smoking chambers are also available. |
 Design rooms (double or single): The authentic monks residence accommodations seem to be enclosed in these rooms, better than at any other chamber. With an arched low roof that resembles the long corridors around churches' courtyards, these rooms boast ancient bric-a-brac, such as old chests, and polished wooden floors. Some beds even have headboards that remind of old thick doors from the convent. Walls are painted in immaculate white, matching the bed covers and headboards. A cream colored bench stands at the bed's foot, ideal for leaving souvenirs or purchases after a day touring around Lisbon. At a few steps from it, a dark green sofa provides another place to rest. |
 Deluxe rooms (double or single): Modern chic style is the leading decoration spirit in these rooms, which feature canopied beds and strong shades on some of its walls. Either in marine blue, fern green or emerald, this detail provides a fresh, friendly ambiance with the compliment of black or soft colored wood in the furniture. Sitting corners either below the windows or in a sort of vestibule before the chamber complete the generally minimalist ambiance. Benches with fancy stripes are always available by the end of the beds, matching the prevailing colour of the walls. At these rooms the guest will also find a desk and an armchair. |
 Classic rooms (double or single): Here you will find antique beds, with a floral bedspread that matches the wallpaper in soft ochre shades. At each side of the bed/s, the lockers feature tall lamps that create a really cosy atmosphere, and mirrors framed in dark wood.
Conventual room (double or single): Overlooking the courtyard, this is the only guestroom in the hotel lacking air conditioning. With a floral bedspread and soft colored wood furniture, its immaculate white walls are decorated with various small paintings. |
 Every chamber is equipped with double glazing at the windows, a free safe, air conditioning (the only exception is the Conventual Room), and a minibar. As far as technology is concerned, at the rooms you will find telephone, cable tv and connection to Internet (with no cost). At the bathrooms, a marble basin and matching tiles in light salmon combine perfectly with the white doors and a big mirror going from one end to the other. Hair dryer and bath robes are available besides the shower. |
